How we rank · launch edition

Three tests. No exceptions.

  1. I
    Public reputation, weighted

Star ratings count more when more people left them, so a few perfect reviews cannot beat years of good ones.

    50%
  2. II
    Recognized by others

Independent guides, critics and awards from 2024 to 2026. Each counts once, and a MICHELIN star weighs more than a readers' poll.

    30%
  3. III
    A track record

Years serving Orlando, from public records and the business itself.

    20%

Independent. Nobody can pay to be ranked or to move up. Anonymous visits, inspection records and owner responses will be added category by category, and each page will say which tests it includes. Full method →

Questions

Plainly answered.

How are the seven chosen?

Businesses such as restaurants and coffee shops get a score out of 100 from public reputation weighted by review volume, recognition from independent guides and years in business, and the seven highest make the list. Things to do, beaches and neighborhoods have no single owner, so they are ordered by public evidence without a number. Every page shows the date of its edition, currently October 20, 2026.

Can a business pay to be ranked?

No. Nobody can pay to be listed or to move up, and there are no sponsored spots inside the seven. If we ever show an advertisement, it will be labeled and kept outside the list.

How often are the lists updated?

Each category is re-ranked every quarter, and we check monthly for closures or major changes. The date at the top of each page tells you which edition you are reading.

Are the photos of the businesses on the list?

No. The photos on this site are illustrative. Use the Website and Directions buttons on each listing to see the real place.
